I have many years of experience working with babies and children, having cared for them from a young age myself. This early connection has always felt like part of my path, and since completing my first holistic training in 2010, I’ve had the privilege of supporting many babies and families as they begin their journeys together.
In our modern world, we have largely lost the tradition of dedicated postpartum care -and I believe this is to our detriment. Across many cultures, there has long been recognition of a sacred window in the first 40 days after birth, where mother and baby are gently held and supported while others take care of everyday needs. While this still exists in some communities, many parents today find themselves navigating this profound transition largely on their own.
At a time when birth can so often feel intense, unexpected, or even overwhelming, parents are frequently left to find their way within an already stretched system – before they’ve had the chance to settle into life with their new baby. Without the right support, this can lead to ongoing stress and dysregulation, which may have lasting effects for both parent and child.
This is something I feel deeply needs to change. By offering nurturing, consistent postpartum care, we can help create a more supported and grounded beginning for families.
I offer home visits from the moment your baby arrives, providing gentle, responsive care tailored to your needs. Sessions can be booked individually or as part of a more comprehensive package (see separate page). There is no travel charge within 10 miles of Saffron Walden; if you are further away, please get in touch and we can discuss options.
I also support mothers in preparing for birth, helping you create a birth plan that feels informed, practical, and aligned with your wishes.
